Spectral Methods. Algorithms, Analysis and Applications

Author: Jie Shen, Tao Tang, Li-Lian Wang | Size: 3.9 MB | Format: PDF | Publisher: Springer | Year: 2011 | pages: 486 | ISBN: 354071040X

Along with finite differences and finite elements, spectral methods are one of the three main methodologies for solving partial differential equations on computers. This book provides a detailed presentation of basic spectral algorithms, as well as a systematical presentation of basic convergence theory and error analysis for spectral methods. Readers of this book will be exposed to a unified framework for designing and analyzing spectral algorithms for a variety of problems, including in particular high-order differential equations and problems in unbounded domains. The book contains a large number of figures which are designed to illustrate various concepts stressed in the book. A set of basic matlab codes has been made available online to help the readers to develop their own spectral codes for their specific applications.

  Interesting in Bridge Design
Posted by: David90 - 09-16-2011, 01:32 PM - Forum: Free Discussion - No Replies

First of all, dear all Protectors & Moderators with respect, honestly I don't know where I should put this request of example of calculation.
We have forum to request book, journal etc but as far I know no forum to request example of calculation, there only forum for "Calculation Notes & Analysis Files" it contains shared docs & there no request in it, then I decide to place it here.
If I wrong place this message please kindly moved it to correct forum, thank you very much.

OK, I start interesting in bridge design & already read some books/sources
I conclude ( after read those materials ) that we can model the bridge with simple way:
*) girder modeled as beam
*) bent/pier modeled as column
BUT, the materials I read not detail.
Please somebody kindly share document ( for simple RC Bridge: abutment at both ends + pier/bent & girder ) containing following process:
1] modeling process ( step by step ) in sap2000 ( any version ) including modeling girder ( as beam ) & bent/pier ( as column ), apply moving load based on AASHTO & input all important parameter in this modeling.
2] checking process, after run the sap model what checking I should do to know this bridge is okay & fulfill all requirements in AASHTO
3] reinforcing process, how I use the sap concrete design output for bent/pier flexure/shear reinforcing
Please somebody help me.
Thank You
With Respect
David

Utility can change file date/time stamps created, modified, accessed. You can set new date-time, relatively change date or time, copy one date-time stamp to another (created date=modified date), change the date but not touch the time, shift date from AM to PM and vice-versa, sequentially change date-time with user specified time step
With our utility you can set file date in a sequence in order to present files in the right order. Utility is for Windows only.

Renaming files and folders
AttributeMagic Pro can mass rename files and folders (including images, document files, etc.) You can add date-time stamps to the name of file or folder, add EXIF tags to the file name, convert file/folder name and extension to the upper or lower case, add file and folder size to it's name. Also you can replace or remove the part of file name or any string meta tag.

Changing attributes of files and folders
With our utility you can modify following file system attributes: hidden, read-only, system, archived, offline. Utility can set, reset, invert and copy one attribute to another.

Modifying properties of MS Office documents
Utility can modify metadata stored with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word documents. It can change or clear following document properties: title, subject, keywords, template, author, last author, revision number. Date-time stamps of MS Office documents can be changed too: document created, last saved, last printed. Using AttributeMagic Pro you can clear (scrub) all metadata or only particular element.

Changing picture date and JPEG-EXIF metadata
With AttributeMagic Pro you can change EXIF date-time stamps: date picture taken, original, digitized. Also utility can change text fields in the EXIF data: make, model, description, artist. AttributeMagic can manipulate EXIF date-time stamps (mask, shift, AM to PM etc.) you can copy EXIF date-time stamp to the file date-time stamps: file created date=picture taken. An EXIF data can be added to non-EXIF JPEG files. Manipulation of EXIF Orientation tag is possible.

Usability
soring in natural order for file names and string metadata
preview result window helps you inspect changes
utility can process one file, folder or a group of files, folders, subfolders
recursive operations: process whole directory tree (or certain branch)
command line mode
print, save, export folder(directory) contents
powerful custom filters and templates to selectively stamp necessary files or folders
error reporting and logging
