The innovation and refinement of the techniques and concepts of sequence stratigraphy has been one of the most exciting and profound developments in geology over the past thirty years. Seismic stratigraphy has now become one of the standard tools of the geoscientist, and there is a pressing need for an introductory text on sequence stratigraphy. This new book sets out to define and explain the concepts, principles and applications of this remarkably influential approach to the study of sedimentary strata. The authors take a rigorous objective stance in evaluating the techniques and interpretation of sequence stratigraphy - basing the text on an internal training course developed by British Petroleum (BP).

What is FOAM CONCRETE?
Foam concrete is cement bonded material manufactured by blending a very fluid cement paste (slurry) and then injecting stable, pre-formed foam into the slurry. The volume of slurry to foam dictates the density of the foam concrete.
The physical characteristics of foam concrete are determined by various mix designs. These may include the use of Portland Cement (CEM1) either on it's own or in combination with a percentage of Pulverized Fly Ash, limestone dust or sand.
Together with a pre-determined volume of entrained air, this slurry becomes fresh foam concrete, which has the appearance of a light gray mousse or milk-shake.

I've seen a laminated chart used to classify the soil according to their grain size, color, angularity, etc. I think it is very useful in preliminary field inspections. Does anyone has a digital copy of these charts?

Hi to all members to this forum,
I want to set up a two monitor in one cpu.
I have already 2 monitors, I bought vga splitter coz i thought this the one required in having 2 monitors, but i didnt succeed. When I used the vga splitter the display is cloning only I cannot extend the display.
So, I search in the net and I found out that I need to buy vga to dvi adaptor to connect vga from my second monitor to my cpu which has dvi.
Now my two monitor was detected already in my system and I extended the display to my second monitor. The problem is my second monitor will remain black(no display) which is from the tutorial i saw it will automatically display the background and can drag the windows to the second monitor.
In my case now, I can drag the window display to my second monitor but I cannot see it.
Hope other members can help me or give advice what to do coz im trying to solve it out since yesterday(oct. 9 2010)
