Good day Everyone,
If anyone have any idea about the Best Software for simulating BLAST LOADING on structures...
SAP or ETABS can't generate Blast Loading (dynamic) and its response,
No idea about STAAD.... Kindly tell me any software that do so....

  Petrogenesis of Metamorphic Rocks, 8th Edition
Posted by: ir_71 - 07-06-2011, 04:50 AM - Forum: Geology - Replies (1)

Petrogenesis of Metamorphic Rocks, 8th Edition

Author: Kurt Bucher and Martin Frey | Size: 6.7 MB | Format: PDF | Publisher: Springer | Year: 2009 | pages: 440 | ISBN: 3540741682

[Image: 08829767455008075351.jpg]

[Image: info.png]

The new edition of Winkler's textbook, completely revised by K. Bucher and M. Frey, is written at the same level as the preceding editions. Numerous diagrams showing the stability relations among minerals found in metamorphic rocks help to determine the pressure and temperature conditions under which a given set of metamorphic rocks may have formed. Part I explains basic principles of metamorphism, introduces metamorphic processes and geologic thermobarometry, and defines metamorphic grade. Part II presents in a systematic way mineralogical changes and assemblages found in the most common types of rocks. The computation of the diagrams is based on recent advances in quantitative petrology and geochemistry. An extensive bibliography makes it an invaluable source book for graduate students and professional geologists.

  SCI P343: Insulated Render Systems Used With Light Steel Framing
Posted by: ir_71 - 07-05-2011, 07:31 AM - Forum: Journals, Papers and Presentations - Replies (2)

SCI P343: Insulated Render Systems Used With Light Steel Framing

Author: C Wright, M T Gorgolewski, G H Couchman, R M Lawson | Size: 4.2 MB | Format: PDF | Publisher: SCI | Year: 2006 | pages: 53 | ISBN: 1859421652

[Image: 75538115854756766350.jpg]

[Image: info.png]

This publication provides design guidance on the use of insulated render cladding systems as applied to light steel framing. Good practice recommendations and advice are given on choosing details appropriate to the degree of exposure to wind-driven rain. A performance scoring system is presented and the minimum requirements are based on the BRE exposure classifications of: sheltered, moderate, severe and very severe exposures. Details are given which provide ‘back-up’ or robust long term performance in the event of any water ingress or condensation behind the render layer. It is suggested that for ‘sheltered’ or ‘moderate’ exposure, a cavity behind the insulated layer is not required, but a double barrier or cavity or other back-up system is generally required for severe and very severe exposure conditions. Experience from the UK is presented to justify this approach.

This publication has been produced by the Metal Cladding and Roofing Manufacturers Association (MCRMA) in collaboration with BRE, to assist the designers, manufacturers and installers of metal walls and roofs to comply with the requirements of
Approved Document L2 of the Building Regulations, published in October 2001 to come into force in April 2002. It describes the content of those parts of the Approved Document relevant to metal cladding and roofing systems and gives guidance as to:
- The calculation of U-values;
- Allowing for thermal bridging at junctions and openings;
- Infra-red surveys;
- Air leakage testing;
The guidance is designed to be relevant to both twin skin and composite panel systems.
