This guide provides a thorough review of the pertinent existing knowledge in the area of constitutive modelling of concrete steel bonds and of their interaction. It discusses the problems encountered in assembling the various elements with the purpose of constructing the model of an element made of reinforced concrete.

This book details the basic concepts and the design rules included in Eurocode 3
Design of steel structures: Part 1-8
Design of joints
Joints in composite construction are also addressed through references to Eurocode 4
Design of composite steel and concrete structures
Part 1-1: General rules and rules for buildings.
Attention has to be duly paid to the joints when designing a steel or composite structure, in terms of the global safety of the construction, and also in terms of the overall cost, including fabrication, transportation and erection. Therefore, in this book, the design of the joints themselves is widely detailed, and aspects of selection of joint configuration and integration of the joints into the analysis and the design process of the whole construction are also fully covered.
Connections using mechanical fasteners, welded connections, simple joints, moment-resisting joints and lattice girder joints are considered. Various joint configurations are treated, including beam-to-column, beam-to-beam, column bases, and beam and column splice configurations, under different loading situations (axial forces, shear forces, bending moments and their combinations).
The book also briefly summarises the available knowledge relating to the application of the Eurocode rules to joints under fire, fatigue, earthquake, etc., and also to joints in a structure subjected to exceptional loadings, where the risk of progressive collapse has to be mitigated.
Finally, there are some worked examples, plus references to already published examples and to design tools, which will provide practical help to practitioners.

Autodesk Navisworks Manage is a comprehensive project review solution that supports coordination, analysis, and communication of design intent and constructability. Multidisciplinary design data created in a broad range of Building Information Modeling (BIM), digital prototype, and process plant design applications can be combined into a single integrated project model.
Interference management tools help design and construction professionals anticipate and minimize potential problems before construction begins, helping to reduce expensive delays and rework. Navisworks Manage is integrated with Autodesk BIM 360 Glue software to help connect the entire project team and streamline BIM project review and coordination workflows. The software combines model coordination with project quantities and schedule to deliver simulation and quantification features, including analysis of time and cost. Entire project models can be published and freely viewed using Autodesk Navisworks Freedom software

In this book, the authors present their theoretical, experimental and numerical investigations into concrete structures subjected to projectile and aircraft impacts in recent years. Innovative approaches to analyze the rigid, mass abrasive and eroding projectile penetration and perforation are proposed. Damage and failure analyses of nuclear power plant containments impacted by large commercial aircrafts are numerically and experimentally analyzed. Ultra-high performance concrete materials and structures against the projectile impact are developed and their capacities of resisting projectile impact are evaluated. This book is written for the researchers, engineers and graduate students in the fields of protective structures and terminal ballistics.
Proposes a simple and effective prediction model for rigid, mass abrasive and erosive projectile penetration into semi-infinite targets and finite targets
Provides a new constitutive concrete model under high pressure and high strain rate, which is suitable for hydrocodes
Summarizes systematic experimental works on impact resistance of UHP-SFRC and composite RC structures
Studies damages of Nuclear Power Plant containment impacted by large commercial aircraft
