Software Companions ViewCompanion Premium 9.22 (x86/x64)
Posted by: ibg0203 - 08-28-2015, 03:13 PM - Forum: Non Engineering Software - No Replies

Software Companions ViewCompanion Premium 9.22 (x86/x64)

Size: 22/29 MB
[Image: screen.png]

ViewCompanion Premium® is the most powerful member of the ViewCompanion family. ViewCompanion Premium can view, print and convert PLT plot files, Adobe PDF, Autodesk DWF, Postscript, CGM, TIFF, CALS and many other formats. ViewCompanion Premium support PLT plotter files using HPGL, HPGL/2, HP-RTL and Calcomp formats.

If you need to distribute drawings, e.g. on the Internet, you can convert your drawings to Autodesk Drawing Web Format (DWF), Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) or Adobe PDF. All these formats are very popular for distributing drawings.
You can convert multiple files of different formats to a single multi-page PDF, DWF or TIFF file.
ViewCompanion can split a multi-page PDF, PDF or DWF files into several single paged files.

Your PLT, PDF, CGM and DWF files can be converted to Autodesk DXF format, which can be read by almost all CAD application, e.g.: Autodesk AutoCAD and Microstation.

Both batch conversion and printing is included. The software can be configured to monitor a user selected folder, and all files copied to that folder will be automatically printed.

ViewCompanion gives you advanced functions for zooming and panning, and you can view your files fast and accurate.

Use Viewcompanion's precise tools to measure dimension lengths and areas. You can measure using snap to drawing geometry for highest accuracy. Calibration of the measurement tools is available to make sure you get correct results if your drawings are not 1:1. The measurement results may be exported to csv, which can be loaded into Excel or any other spreadsheet application.

With ViewCompanion Premium you can add markups to the loaded file. Supported markup elements include rectangles, lines, dimension lines, area measurements, ellipses, polygons, text, arrows, stamps and images.
You can select one of the predefined stamps or create your own. User defined symbol libraries makes it easy to add frequently used symbols as markups. Hyperlinks can be added to markup elements, and a hyperlink can either open another drawing inside ViewCompanion, or open an Internet location (URL) using the default browser.

All markup elements are stored in a separate file and the original file will be left unmodified.
The markup elements can optionally be included when the viewed file is printed or converted.
You can export markup elements as Autodesk DXF, Autodesk DWF, CGM and other formats.

Environmental Impacts During the Operational Phase of Residential Buildings

Environmental Impacts During the Operational Phase of Residential Buildings
Volume 37 Sustainable Urban Areas

Author(s)/Editor(s): I. Blom | Size: 10 MB | Format: PDF | Quality: Original preprint | Publisher: IOS Press | Year: 2010 | pages: 204 | ISBN: 9781607506737

To date, the focus in the field of sustainable building has been on new building design. However, existing residential buildings inflict great environmental burden through three causes: continuous energy consumption, regular building maintenance and replacements. This publication analyses and compares these three causes of environmental burden and shows that material resources needed for replacements generally have a limited potential to reduce environmental impact. Reducing energy consumption for climate control and electrical appliances is much more effective. According to the author, sustainable measures should be tested for shifts in the kind of environmental impact caused due to the use of alternative types of energy resources and altered material quantities. The sustainability of the electricity supply is essential to decrease the total environmental impact of the residential building stock.
IOS Press is an international science, technical and medical publisher of high-quality books for academics, scientists, and professionals in all fields.

Some of the areas we publish in:

-Biomedicine

CTBUH - Outrigger Design for High-Rise Buildings

Author(s)/Editor(s): Hi Sun Choi, Goman Ho, Leonard Joseph & Neville Mathias | Size: 42 MB | Format: PDF | Quality: Scanner (bw) | Publisher: CTBUH | Year: 2012 | pages: 89 | ISBN: 9780939493340

An output of the CTBUH Outrigger Working Group, this guide sets out a comprehensive overview of the use of outriggers in skyscrapers. This guide offers detailed recommendations for analysis of outriggers within the lateral load resisting systems of tall buildings, for recognizing and addressing effects on building behavior and for practical design solutions. It also highlights concerns specific to the outrigger structural system such as differential column shortening and construction sequence impacts. Several project examples are explored in depth, illustrating the role of outrigger systems in tall building designs and providing ideas for future projects.

  SAP2000 - GroupsManagementTool

SAP2000 - GroupsManagementTool

Have you a 3D SAP2000 model with a lot of defined groups inside it?,
Have you need to repetitively assign differents groups to many elements in your model?,
Have you another requirement related to a Group Managment in SAP2000?

This is a small program developed in Visual Studio, using .NET language. This software try to connect with a running instance of  SAP2000 V17.3.0, then allow the user to manipulate in many forms existent groups. The manipulation options are:
  1. Selection and de-selection of objects, with the option of "automatic select the next group" for repetitive tasks.
  2. "Add/replace/delete from" objects in selected groups, with the same option for "automatic selection of next group".
  3. Deletion of groups.

This features can be achieved in several ways:
  1. Using a Group Pattern for multiple groups that can be definend using wildcards (use the "?" button for help. Alternatively check this website:)
    Code:

  2. Using a specific Group Name (or a fragment of one)
  3. Using a list stored in your clipboard, and then pasted to the "Paste Box" windows.

Known issues:
  • Colors aren't allways displayed in the correct way
  • Select feature (and deselect) are slow if you select many (many) groups in the list. This is a behaviour of SAP2000, that refresh the window in every selection. I performing an alternative method for selecting +1 groups, that involve to store all the assignments in a temporary group.

More features?:

Please, write me an email to [email protected] or post here your idea. I'll try to apply and we can discuse if is need.

Any idea could be implemented in future releases. All your ideas and comments are needed (and welcome) to improve this tool.
