Many of us have access to software keys, USB or dongle. I was surfing around looking for a way to share a USB for one license between main machine and virtual machine on same computer (so that I can run several simulations simultaneously) when I came across USB and Dongle emulators. Anyone knows how to use them? We can have access to keys and create image from the key and then use the emulator as a key on several machines.
I think we need to have a section on how to use extract USB and Dongle images and how to use emulators. That will be very helpful to use for software that we cannot patch or software that we have access to their protection hardware.

Unit Converter Pro is a handy utility for students, teachers, and practitioners in engineering, physics,
sciences, and technical subjects. It can quickly convert more than 1500 different units in 76 categories.
It contains the most important conversion factors for length, area, volume, mass, force, pressure, density,
energy, power, temperature, dynamic viscosity, kinematic viscosity, and time units.
But it provides many high-specialized units and categories, too.

BIM (Building information management) is the future. We need to start working hard on preparing the members of this forum for this new Era by sharing tutorials and video and providing help for newbies. For structural engineers, one big issue is exchanging BIM with popular analysis software, we need to work on that.
Also, since we talked about CAD sections, we can have a section for BIM families and also how to create our own. Personally I faced problems detailing in Revit structural. I know it is doable but need to figure out how. Also BIM provide a good platform for programming. Similar to LISP in Auto cad, we can create out own routines that do common things like designing simple connections based on forces from analysis software. I have seen this routine long time ago but I was not able to find it again.

I think  it will be a good idea if we have tutorials and hands on patching and cracking popular engineering software. When a new release come out we can use procedures used to patch or crack last version to quickly patch the new one. Also having many heads working together and/or simultaneously will allow us to have new programs running as soon as they are out, as soon as we can
I know that this is not a forum for cracking, but what I meant is that we can be specialized in programs that serves this forum

2 spreadsheets for Steel Crane Beam Design. One based in AISC guide 7 (US Units) and other based on BS5950-1:2000 (SI Units).
It isn't the "up to date" version, and I'm really thanks if someone have a new version or similar.

Elasticity, Theory, Applications, and Numerics Second Edition
info:
Elasticity, Theory, Applications, and Numerics Second Edition
Martin H. Sadd
Academic Press
2009-02-06
ISBN: 0123744466
512 pages
PDF 6,6 MB
Elasticity is concerned with determining the strength and load carrying ability of engineering structures including buildings, bridges, cars, planes, and thousands of machine parts that most of us never see. It is especially important in the fields of mechanical, civil, aeronautical and materials engineering. Elasticity: Theory, Applications and Numerics 2e provides a concise and organized presentation and development of the theory of elasticity, moving from solution methodologies, formulations and strategies into applications of contemporary interest, including fracture mechanics, anisotropic/composite materials, micromechanics and computational methods. Developed as a text for a one or two-semester graduate elasticity course, this new edition is the only elasticity text to provide coverage in the new area of non-homogenous, or graded, materal behavior. End of chapter exercises throughout the book are fully incorporated with the use of MATLAB software.
Key Features:
* Provides a thorough yet concise introduction to general elastic theory and behavior
* Demonstrates numerous applications in areas of contemporary interest including fracture mechanics, anisotropic/composite and graded materials, micromechanics, and computational methods
* The only current elasticity text to incorporate MATLAB into its extensive end-of-chapter exercises
* The book's organization makes it well-suited for a one or two semester course in elastictiy
Features New to the Second Edition:
* First elasticity text to offer a chapter on non-homogenous, or graded, material behavior
* New appendix on review of undergraduate mechanics of materials theory to make the text more self-contained
* 355 end of chapter exercises - 30% NEW to this edition

Structures & Construction in Historic Building Conservation
By Michael Forsyth
Publisher: Wiley-Blackwell
Number Of Pages: 248
Publication Date: 2007-11-16
ISBN-10 / ASIN: 1405111712
ISBN-13 / EAN: 9781405111713
Structures & Construction in Historic Building Conservation traces the history of structures in various materials and contains guidance on the survey, assessment and diagnosis of structures and the integration of building code requirements within the historic fabric.
It discusses conservation engineering philosophy, exposes the conflict between building codes and conservation legislation, and offers solutions. Leading-edge, on-site metric survey techniques are described and a range of structural advice is given, including methods of repair in relation to philosophical principles. Causes of induced movement in historic buildings are explained, together with basic soil mechanics and the assessment and diagnosis of structural failure. Chapters also cover the conservation of different types of construction: masonry, iron and steel, and concrete and reinforced concrete.
Fourteen chapters written by the experts present today’s key issues in structures and construction for historic building conservation: Bill Blake, Michael Bussell, David Cook, Dina F. D’Ayala, Steve Emery, Michael Forsyth, Ian Hume, Peter Norris

Would be helpful to a have a section where we can share our autocad files, like typical details (bolts, steel shapes, hilti bolts, masonry bricks, deck floors, etc.) and specific details like bridges pads, steel connections, beam-column union in concrete, steel or concrete tanks, prestressed bridges beams, etc.
This would help us to have ideas of how to solve our projects.
