CAD Section - Ultra Zone - 06-25-2009

Dear ADMIN and MODERATORS:

Would be helpful to a have a section where we can share our autocad files, like typical details (bolts, steel shapes, hilti bolts, masonry bricks, deck floors, etc.) and specific details like bridges pads, steel connections, beam-column union in concrete, steel or concrete tanks, prestressed bridges beams, etc.

This would help us to have ideas of how to solve our projects.

Nice Idea, karla! And I agree with you!
Recently was posted here somewhat about LISP programing in CAD. ThereĀ“s a lot of good Lisps to help us in structural detailing. I think this section could contemplate LISP too!
And, of course, must be restrict to Structural things.

Regards

Dell

RE: CAD Section - Solution - 06-26-2009

This is great ideas especially when you are working on a project with unrealistic deadlines :) (we all had this situation), we can quickly get details and ideas from this section. This section will also allow us to discuss how people in different parts of the world details and design.

The only draw back is that people will post these details on other websites. Sharing is good, but they can always get it from here instead of posting it on other sites.

Salaam
