Basic Engineering Plasticity: An Introduction with Engineering and Manufacturing Applications
Publisher: Butterworth | Pages: 528 | 2006-09-07 | ISBN 0750680253 | PDF | 34 MB

Plasticity is concerned with understanding the behavior of metals and alloys when loaded beyond the elastic limit, whether as a result of being shaped or as they are employed for load bearing structures. Basic Engineering Plasticity delivers a comprehensive and accessible introduction to the theories of plasticity. It draws upon numerical techniques and theoretical developments to support detailed examples of the application of plasticity theory. This blend of topics and supporting textbook features ensure that this introduction to the science of plasticity will be valuable for a wide range of mechanical and manufacturing engineering students and professionals.
· Brings together the elements of the mechanics of plasticity most pertinent to engineers, at both the micro- and macro-levels
· Covers the theory and application of topics such as Limit Analysis, Slip Line Field theory, Crystal Plasticity, Sheet and Bulk Metal Forming, as well as the use of Finite Element Analysis
· Clear and well-organized with extensive worked engineering application examples, end of chapter exercises and a separate worked solutions manual

Classical Mechanics - An undergraduate text
R. Douglas Gregory,
Cambridge University Press
2006
ISBN: 0521534097
608 pages
PDF 5 MB

Gregory's Classical Mechanics is a major new textbook for undergraduates in mathematics and physics. It is a thorough, self-contained and highly readable account of a subject many students find difficult. The author's clear and systematic style promotes a good understanding of the subject; each concept is motivated and illustrated by worked examples, while problem sets provide plenty of practice for understanding and technique. Computer assisted problems, some suitable for projects, are also included. The book is structured to make learning the subject easy; there is a natural progression from core topics to more advanced ones and hard topics are treated with particular care. A theme of the book is the importance of conservation principles. These appear first in vectorial mechanics where they are proved and applied to problem solving. They reappear in analytical mechanics, where they are shown to be related to symmetries of the Lagrangian, culminating in Noether's theorem.

  Advance system care
Posted by: being - 11-17-2009, 07:17 PM - Forum: Non Engineering Software - Replies (2)

The best software i came across for maintainiing system in free and also upgraded free when online. please go to www.IOBit .com and download the latest copy of advance system care and then provide the key from the keymaker which i had provided in the below link. the diffrerence in free and pro is only that pro version means in which u will register by providing the key from key maker and in pro version u will get right for automatic scan and care. while if u use free than u have to scan manually so go for key maker and use pro version freely .

Guide to Design Criteria for Bolted and Riveted Joints (2ed)

2nd Edition
Kulak, Fisher, and Struik
2001

Based on experimental and theoretical studies on the behavior and strength of riveted and bolted structural joints, this book suggests design criteria for such connections. It provides the basis for many provisions of the AISC Specification. It reviews the historical development of mechanically fastened joints and discusses the various theories of design, strength, and performance criteria. Bolt installation is also discussed.

Posted by: erimajus - 11-17-2009, 06:43 AM - Forum: Calculation Notes & Analysis Files - Replies (4)

This is one of my example Analysis and Design of a two storey Building using ETABS.
The Loads are :
1. Live Load
2. Dead Load
3. Static Seismic Load (UBC 97 associated with our Local Code)
4. And Dynamic Seismic Load (Response Spectrum)

Design code : UBC 97
Hopely can be usefull.

Thanks and Regards,

erimajus
