Hello,
Has anyone attended any kind of Abaqus courses? Is it wise to spend money on it, if you're not that much familiar with using it?
I would like to see your opinion regarding that. I know that there are manuals on this forum, but that takes time, which is, to be honest, something I don't have.
Best regards

Training videos are a good start to familiarize yourself with basics so you can ask specific question of your interest when you attend course.
Total beginner is not ideal candidate for courses on such programs as Abaqus, Ansys, ...
Because, like tutorials, on courses they will show/teach you basics of using program, and when you try to do some thing for your work problems mounts and it is very difficult to quickly find someone to help you.

Thanks for suggestions and reply's.
I've found the links, and watched the videos. When you prepare that kind of models, everything looks nice, and understand-full, but when you try to do something by yourself then you get in problems.
My problem is, like I've posted in some previous posts, that I want to model geotechnical problems, and none of them is described in any movie. Bad for me.
There are some manuals regarding that, but everything is explained via input file. Ok, that's good, but I would like to see how it works from user interface.
Best regards
