  Dynamic Behavior of Concrete Structures

Dynamic Behavior of Concrete Structures

Author: Y.L. Mo | Size: 103 MB | Format: PDF | Quality: Unspecified | Publisher: Elsevier | Year: 1994 | pages: 405 | ISBN: 0444818855 ISBN13: 9780444818850

This book is concerned with the dynamic behavior of reinforced/prestressed concrete structures, such as: buildings and bridges. It discusses how to predict or check the real inelastic behavior of concrete structures subjected to dynamic loads, including equipment loads, earthquake motions, seismic interactions and missile impacts. A number of techniques have recently been developed to assist in evaluating such occurrences. This book is intended to apply structural dynamics to concrete structures and is appropriate as a textbook for an introductory course in dynamic behavior of concrete structures at the upper-undergraduate or graduate level as well as for practicing engineers.

  Macbook Pro with Retina Display??!
Posted by: ali akbar - 11-04-2014, 09:46 AM - Forum: Free Discussion - Replies (5)

Dear all,

I am going to buy a laptop for my daily works (structural engineering) including design with CSI and Bentley Softwares, modelling and detailing mostly with Tekla Structures, Revit structure, and AutoCAD structural detailing.

My focus is on Macbook Pro with retina display:

Intel Core i7 2.50GHz up to 3.70 GHz and 6Mb cashe
16 GB of DDR3 RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2GB DDR5 Graphic
2880x1800 resolusion

My main concern is that I hear some people say that when you use boot camp to install windows on Macbook pro, the overall performance including battery comes down. Moreover, it becomes very hot under heavy load.

Kindly, if you have used this laptop, please share your experience using this laptop and help me in my selection.

Regards,
