  Freeze-Thaw Durability of Concrete (Rilem Proceedings, Vol 30)

Product Description
Concrete durability in climates where freezing and thawing occurs is a continuing problem. It is particularly acute for highway and bridge structures, where de-icing salts are used to combat the effects of frost, snow and ice. These salts can cause damage to concrete and accelerate corrosion of reinforcements. This book presents the latest international research on this area, with contributions from North America and Europe which were presented at an international RILEM workshop.

  SAP2000: how to use NL-Link element for nonlinear analysis
Posted by: Sumatra - 03-18-2010, 06:22 AM - Forum: Archive Problem - No Replies

Hi all,

I would like to know how to use NL-Link element (zero-length element) in SAP2000 in order to use in nonlinear analysis. Is it necessary to create 2 nodes in the same ordinates for this element?

I already read the manual book, but still my model was not showing the correct result.

Thanks

CADD STANDARDS - Sverdrup Civil, Inc.

[Image: info.png]

To insure consistency in the computer generated drawings that will be produced by the various design Design Team Members on the KKZ I CMA Design Team, this manual prescribes computer aided design and drafting (CADD) criteria for the production of contract Drawings by the KKZ I CMA Design Team. The Contract Drawings as defined by Section 1.1 of the Special Provision, are the drawings developed by the team that illustrate and graphically detail the work for the Rio Piedras Contract ASC 5.
This Manual represents the minimum information required to utilize the computing facilities of the KKZ I CMA Project Office. All Design Team Members shall follow this manual in their respective CADD work. This is to be considered a "living" document, additional information will be made available as it is developed or requested, to maintain a consistent and concise guide to production in this environment

W. T. Koiter's Elastic Stability of Solids and Structures

[Image: 97292673098062901264.jpg]

[Image: info.png]
* Publisher: Cambridge University Press
* Number Of Pages: 240
* Publication Date: 2008-08-11

Product Description:

This book deals with the elastic stability of solids and structures, on which Warner Koiter was the world's leading expert. It begins with fundamental aspects of stability, relating the basic notions of dynamic stability to more traditional quasi-static approaches. The book is concerned not only with buckling, or linear instability, but most importantly with nonlinear post-buckling behavior and imperfection-sensitivity. After laying out the general theory, Koiter applies the theory to a number of applications, with a chapter devoted to each. These include a variety of beam, plate, and shell structural problems and some basic continuum elasticity problems. Koiter's classic results on the nonlinear buckling and imperfection-sensitivity of cylindrical and spherical shells are included. The treatments of both the fundamental aspects and the applications are completely self-contained. This book was recorded as a detailed set of notes by Arnold van der Heijden from W. T. Koiter's last set of lectures on stability theory, at TU Delft.
