CSiXCAD, from Computers and Structures, Inc., is a plug-in for Autodesk® AutoCAD® and Bricsys® BricsCAD® that facilitates documenting in AutoCAD and BricsCAD the design of building stuctures analyzed in ETABS® or SAP2000® and keeps track of design revisions.
CSiXCAD maintains a complete BIM model in the CAD software and can generate:
Floor Plans
Elevations
3D Models
In addition, with models designed in ETABS, CSiXCAD can generate:
Data in the CSiXCAD BIM model is defined only once and any changes to a structural item in a drawing are reflected on all drawings where that item is shown.
CSiXCAD eliminates the need to manually transfer data and markups to CAD engineers and automatically generates an initial set of drawings that can then be customized and refined using CAD. When the engineer later makes changes to the original design model, CSiXCAD can compare the contents of its BIM model with the modified design model, and either import all changes or only selected changes. Previous edits made to the drawings in CSiXCAD are maintained, and a report listing the changes is generated.

Risk-Based Structural Evaluation Methods: Best Practices and Development of Standards provides a comprehensive summary of the findings from a survey of attitudes of researchers, structural engineers, and government agencies to risk-informed structural engineering practices and a follow-up workshop. Risk analysis principles are well established from a theoretical point of view; however, a number of barriers have hampered a wide-scale implementation of risk-based methods in decision-making processes. This book examines the progress made on the application of risk-based structural evaluation methods (RBsEM) and provides recommendations to help enhance their implementation in engineering practice. The issues addressed include
Risk evaluation for new and existing structural systems, Hazard assessment and statistical projection of expected extreme natural and human-made events, Probabilistic analysis of structural systems, Assessment of physical damage to structures and infrastructure systems and evaluation of consequences, Estimation of associated direct and indirect losses and risk quantification, Risk communication to different stakeholders including the general public, Establishment of optimum risk acceptance criteria that take into consideration public attitudes toward risk, and Prioritization of risk mitigation strategies.

This book targets practicing structural engineers, graduate students, and graduate university educators with an interest in the seismic response of structures equipped with supplemental damping and seismic isolation systems. The main objective of the book is to familiarize structural engineers with the various innovative systems that have demonstrated considerable potential through analytical studies, experimental testing and actual structural implementation. The discussion focuses on passive energy dissipation systems and seismic isolation systems. Readers of this book should have a strong background on linear and nonlinear dynamic analyses and conventional seismic design to fully appreciate its content. This book can be used as the textbook for the last of a series of graduate courses on the general topic of structural dynamics and earthquake engineering.

Seismic Rehabilitation Methods for Existing Buildings covers various structures, effective parameters in seismic improvement, and other factors in seismic loading in eight applied chapters with descriptive classification. The book offers guidance for a seismic rehabilitation project based on the interpretation of publications FEMA and Iranian seismic rehabilitation regulations no.360 . It includes real examples of completed and approved projects to stabilize the seismic improvement issues of existing buildings. Six perfectly executed examples, with complete refinement details, such as modeling, step-by-step improvement studies, and executive plans and seismic enhancement images are included. The book also explains the classification of non-structural element and how to carry out it's seismic reconstruction studies and in one of the chapters, construction and soil improvement methods are discussed along with a practical example. The concepts of seismic rehabilitation in this book are presented with an Info-graphic structure that better fixes the concepts in the minds of readers so that when they face a new project, they have a more practical use of the content
Provides a fully functional way to evaluate, model and present details of a seismic rehabilitation plan for a building
Presents real seismic refurbishment models and step-by-step methods for providing examples (including images, tables and charts)
