I apologize if I've put this request in a wrong part of forum.
I would be very grateful if someone has book regarding the title and Burger's model within.
Best regards

  Points EP
Posted by: freequo - 03-28-2012, 06:07 AM - Forum: Free Discussion - No Replies

Could anyone tell me is it possible that in one moment you have, let say, 4000 points, and in the next moment you have 3900 points, and you haven't been good user and gave that 100 points to someone else?
I'm just curious. If i made some mistake, like posting, and similar, I would really like to know.
Best regards

I would like to request if you have railroad details in dwg or recommend a good book with them

I have 2 railroads that are crossing each other, in the same level, at 90 degree angle.

  Earthquake Deconvolution for FLAC
Posted by: DamirDz - 03-26-2012, 08:34 PM - Forum: Journals, Papers and Presentations - No Replies

Earthquake Deconvolution for FLAC

Author: L.H. Mejia; E.M. Dawson | Size: 349 KB | Format: PDF | Quality: Unspecified | Publisher: Itasca Consulting Group, Inc., Minneapolis | Year: 2006 | pages: 9 | ISBN: 0-9767577-0-2

Design earthquake ground motions for dynamic analyses are typically specified as outcrop motions, which may have to be modified for input at the base of a FLAC model. Often a ‘deconvolution’ analysis using a 1-D wave propagation code, such as the program SHAKE, is performed to obtain the appropriate input motion at depth. This seemingly simple analysis is often the subject of considerable confusion.
In this paper the theory and operation of the program SHAKE and input requirements of FLAC are reviewed, and the application of SHAKE for adapting design earthquake motions for FLAC input is described. Numerical examples illustrating typical cases are presented, and several questions that commonly arise are addressed.

Application of Super Absorbent Polymers (SAP) in Concrete Construction: State-of-the-Art Report Prepared by Technical Committee 225-SAP (RILEM State-of-the-Art Reports)

Author: Viktor Mechtcherine | Size: 4.9 MB | Format: PDF | Quality: Original preprint | Publisher: Springer | Year: 2012 | pages: 165 | ISBN: 9400727321

This is the state-of-the-art report prepared by the RILEM TC “Application of Super Absorbent Polymers (SAP) in concrete construction”. It gives a comprehensive overview of the properties of SAP, specific water absorption and desorption behaviour of SAP in fresh and hardening concrete, effects of the SAP addition on rheological properties of fresh concrete, changes of cement paste microstructure and mechanical properties of concrete. Furthermore, the key advantages of using SAP are described in detail: the ability of this material to act as an internal curing agent to mitigate autogenous shrinkage of high-performance concrete, the possibility to use SAP as an alternative to air-entrainment agents in order to increase the frost resistance of concrete, and finally, the benefit of steering the rheology of fresh cement-based materials. The final chapter describes the first existing and numerous prospective applications for this new concrete additive.
