Mathematical Methods for Engineers and Scientists 3: Fourier Analysis, Partial Differential Equations and Variational Methods
Pedagogical insights gained through 30 years of teaching applied mathematics led the author to write this set of student oriented books. Topics such as complex analysis, matrix theory, vector and tensor analysis, Fourier analysis, integral transforms, ordinary and partial differential equations are presented in a discursive style that is readable and easy to follow. Numerous clearly stated, completely worked out examples together with carefully selected problem sets with answers are used to enhance students' understanding and manipulative skill. The goal is to make students comfortable and confident in using advanced mathematical tools in junior, senior, and beginning graduate courses.

Product Description
Oz Yilmaz has expanded his original volume on processing to include inversion and interpretation of seismic data. In addition to the developments in all aspects of conventional processing, this two-volume set represents a comprehensive and complete coverage of the modern trends in the seismic industry-from time to depth, from 3-D to 4-D, from 4-D to 4-C, and from isotropy to anisotropy.

Analysis and Control of Nonlinear Process Systems
Almost all process systems are nonlinear in nature. Nonlinear control is traditionally an area of interest in process systems engineering which is of great practical importance. These facts notwithstanding, many process engineers have difficulty with the paradigms and results of modern nonlinear control theory because they lack the mathematical background usually associated with such methods or because of the their computational difficulty and small-scale applicability in the general case.
Analysis and Control of Nonlinear Process Systems overcomes these barriers. Features:
• The necessary mathematical preliminaries for readers from a process engineering background.
• Constant reference to the widely-known finite-dimensional linear time-invariant continuous case as a basis for extension to the nonlinear situation.
• The most promising theories and analytical methods for nonlinear process control laid out clearly and straightforwardly with exercises to reaffirm the techniques as they are taught.
• Emphasis on the importance of process knowledge and first-principles-based models in obtaining feasible and effective solutions in particular circumstances from general cases.
• Illustration of applications with simple examples and case studies.
Analysis and Control of Nonlinear Process Systems will interest graduate process engineers wishing to study advanced control methods either with a view to further research or application in industry as well as to academics seeking to move process control courses into more complicated but up-to-date territory. It will also be a great assistance to those in their senior undergraduate years who will form the next generation of industrial process engineers and need unfussy access to the most modern nonlinear control ideas.

Stefan Hiermaier (ed.) "Predictive Modeling of Dynamic Processes"
Predictive Modeling of Dynamic Processes provides an overview of numerical simulation technology, applicable to a variety of industries and areas of engineering design. Covering automotive crash, blast, impact, and hypervelocity impact phenomena, this volume offers readers an in-depth explanation of the simulation potential for research and development. Chapters include informative introductions to each topic, and explain the specific requirements pertaining to a predictive numerical methodology.
Successfully blending basics of material modeling, crash simulation and impact engineering, this volume fills a gap in the current competing literature available.

Hello to all civilea members,
I'm looking for some orion expert to guide me.
After i run the analysis and then beam design (batch mode) to design all beams and some of the beams failed (with a red cross). So, once i double the failed beam, i have got 2 types of message.
a) RHS Analysis Moment and momenit calculated using the diagrams not matching.
b) "Axial Tension force exceed", "Beam Minor Bending exceeded", beam Minor Shear Exceeded".
