One-Page Project Manager for Execution: Drive Strategy and Solve Problems with a Single Sheet of Paper

Clark A. Campbell, Mike Collins, "The One-Page Project Manager for Execution: Drive Strategy and Solve Problems with a Single Sheet of Paper"
Wiley | 2010 | ISBN: 0470499338 | 182 pages | PDF | 1,4 MB

The One-Page Project Manager set a new standard as an understandable and easy-to-apply organizational tool, allowing managers to summarize complex projects on a single information-rich page. This book, third in the OPPM series, describes how to combine the OPPM with the Toyota A3 report to create an enhanced, integrated management tool. With a refreshingly clear style, the authors walk users through implementing the OPPM/A3 using a variety of real-world case studies, as well as their own experience at O.C. Tanner Company. Rich with tools, templates, and teaching, the emphasis throughout remains on maintaining simplicity across the organization—communicating the right information to the right people at the right time to get the right things done.

Incheon Bridge (Korea)

Incheon Bridge, 18.4 km long sea-crossing bridge, will be opened to the traffic in October 2009 and this will be the new landmark of the gearing up north-east Asia as well as the largest & longest bridge in Korea. Incheon Bridge is constituted of severol special featured bridges including a magnificent cable-stayed bridge which has a main span of BOO m to cross the main navigation channel of the Incheon Port. Incheon Bridge is the first trial to apply AASHTO LRFD (load & resistance factor deSign) to both the superstructures and the substructures in Korea. Various experiences of advanced design and construction method from the Inch eon Bridge project have been propagated by relevant engineers and it is strongly expected that significant achievements in bridge engineering through this project will contribute to the national development ofthe long-span bridge technologies remarkably

The Flat layout of 4 BHK would be similar to 3 BHK only one room would be added and some differences in the dimensions.

The above information is according to the description by the Sales Manager and a bit of imagination, as none of the plans were shown at this pre-launch stage, only some dimensions were disclosed, therefore it may vary a bit from the actual.

It was told that as it is only pre-launch, so only after giving a cheque of Booking amount, a glimpse of the floor plans would be shown but it will not be given.

Pricing Details

Base Rate Rs. 23,000 psf (3 BHK)
Rs. 22,500 psf (4BHK)
Rs. 30,303 psf (Villas)

Floor Rise Rs. 180 per floor (from 7th floor for 3BHK & 4BHK)
(from 42nd floor for Villas)

Car Parking Rs. 12.6 Lac per car parking
(2 CPs compulsory for 3 BHK)
(3 CPs compulsory for 4BHK & Villas)

Maintenance Rs. 12 psf per month

Total Cost Rs. 7.11 Cr (For a 3BHK at 10th level)
Rs. 8.25 Cr (For a 4BHK at 10th level)
Rs. 21.97 Cr (For a Villa at 44th level)

Payment Schedule

Booking Amount Rs. 18 Lac (3 BHK & 4 BHK)
Rs. 36 Lac (Villa)

After 27 days 10% of the Agreement Value – Booking Amount

After 18 more days 9.9% of the Agreement Value

Other installments will be due as per the progression of work.
It would take around 5 years in completion of the project.

The above prices are valid only till 17th June and it would be increased to about 20% after that.

Computation of Secondary Moments in Prestressed Concrete Structures
Posted by: quatermain - 07-14-2010, 01:05 PM - Forum: Archive - Replies (4)

Hi, Maybe someone got this paper for me.

Computation of Secondary Moments in Prestressed Concrete Structures

ABSTRACT
Venketaramani Tiruchirapalli1 and Riyadh Hindi,2 Ph.D., P.Eng.
1Graduate Student, Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois,
2Associate professor, Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois,

The consideration and computation of secondary moments are important in the design analysis of continuous prestressed concrete structures. Such moments are secondary in nature but not in magnitude. Based on a comprehensive review of available methods of computing secondary moments such as equivalent load method, an alternative methodology of computing secondary moments is developed in this study. The proposed method discretizes an indeterminate structure into individual structural elements with end constrains. The concept of secondary moments under constraints is introduced in discrete structural elements. And they are computed as the function of primary moments in the structure. Secondary moments in the structure are then computed by applying basic principles in structural mechanics. The computing procedure is shown to be simple, prompt and accurate. The advantages of the proposed method over other existing methods are discussed and illustrated through numerical examples. In addition, the proposed computing method can be readily integrated into existing finite element codes of structural modeling and design. The application of the proposed method in practical design practice is demonstrated through a design case with complex tendon geometry.

Thanks
