Bentley AutoPIPE v8i (SELECT series 1) Nuclear edition 09.02.03.02

Bentley AutoPIPE is a stand-alone computer aided engineering (CAE) program for calculation of piping stresses, flange analysis, pipe support design, and equipment nozzle loading analysis under static and dynamic loading conditions. In addition to 24 piping codes, AutoPIPE incorporates ASME, British Standard, API, NEMA, ANSI, ASCE, AISC, UBC, and WRC guidelines and design limits to provide a comprehensive analysis of the entire system. AutoPIPE is available for Windows XP/Vista and can be licensed across networks.
There are three versions of AutoPIPE: Standard, Plus, and Nuclear. The Plus version offers several advanced analysis capabilities not available in the Standard version which are detailed later in this chapter. The Nuclear version offers all of the features of the Plus version with the addition of all the features for ASME class 1 design. A KHK2 Add-On option is also available for the Plus or Nuclear version that allows use of the Japanese KHK Level 2 piping code in addition to all the features of the Plus or Nuclear version. AutoPIPE is a proven, well established program which has been commercially available since 1986. AutoPIPE’s rigorous quality assurance practices have withstood numerous on-site audits, making AutoPIPE one of the few PC based piping programs approved for use in nuclear safety applications.

  STAAD Offshore 2.0.6.1
Posted by: BennyP - 07-25-2010, 03:54 PM - Forum: Bentley Products - No Replies

STAAD Offshore 2.0.6.1

STAAD.Offshore for use with STAAD.Pro. The program consists of a suite of pre and post analysis processing modules for structures modelled in the structural analysis and design program STAAD.Pro. The program is operated from a single interface from which the required modules can be set up and operated.
There are three primary modules to the STAAD.Offshore:

The Wave Load Module calculates wave loads on structures using either STREAM function, STOKES 5th Order Theory, AIRY theory, or a user defined grid wave. The program generates a STAAD.Pro loading data for the stiffness analysis.

The Transport Load Module calculates the inertia forces on a structure and generates the STAAD.Pro loading data for the stiffness analysis.

The Fatigue Module is a deterministic fatigue program to calculate the fatigue lives of tubular joints.

Select Bentley SELECT XM License.... when installing.

I received 1000 Days and i suppose is because one old dll from other medicine was present in my computer (IEGLicLib.dll) before (installing Autopipe with this dll - see Autopipe 09.02.03.02 or other Bentley using it and posted before).

Cable Structures by Max Irvine

MIT Press (May 1981)
ISBN-10:0-262-09023-6
ISBN-13:978-0-262-09023-0

Cable Structures is the first extensive survey of its subject from the point of view of the practicing engineer. Cable-structures—cable-stayed and suspension bridges, cable roofs, transmission lines and guyed masts, and various kinds of inflatable structures—are appearing with increasing frequency as traditional materials become scarcer and building costs continue to rise. Since such structures can span extended lengths and cover large areas with little material weight, they are structurally efficient and economical in almost every application. Furthermore, cable structures have an inherent beauty of line and a graceful lightness of aspect. Few books on structural mechanics deal even in passing with cable structures, and almost none is exclusively devoted to the exposition of the subject.

Cable Structures has been carefully organized to meet this need. It can be directly consulted by the practicing engineer—who may be confronted with a mooring-line problem or called on to provide a dynamic analysis of a cable-suspended roof—but although practical applications are stressed, the level of mathematical rigor is such that the book can also serve as a basic text at the graduate level and as a reference for researchers at the vanguard of the field. Much of the material in the book was developed by the author, both in the course of his own research and from his experience as a consulting engineer.

Although matrix methods of solution and computational techniques that require computer implementation are presented in those cases where simpler methods are inadequate or exact solutions are necessary, the emphasis throughout is on approximate analytical results obtainable by hand. As Irvine states, "the vast majority of problems in cable structures are best attempted by hand, at least for preliminary purposes.... By and large, cable structures are simple—the layman as well as the engineer can see how they work—so simple hand techniques, wisely used, are hardly out of place."

The book's five chapters cover (among other topics) the historical development of the field and the classical (or exact) theories of the static responses of single cables to various loads (a little arch theory has been included as well); engineering approximations to the classical theory; dynamic responses; guyed masts, cable trusses, and suspension bridges; three-dimensional surfaces, in the form of tension membranes of revolution; and static and dynamic response of cable networks that cover regular platforms.

Numerous worked examples and exercise sets are presented throughout.

NEED HELP

I am a student from Romania. Recently the eurocodes become some kind of national codes, but u can not find any books in romanian , like decoding EC7 . I would like that for my next year graduate exam to present a structure completly calculated with the aid of the EC. If someone can help me to provide same drawings and calculated steps of the project would be great. I am intersted in concret buidings.
Or if u have a book in english that shows the steps in design of a building would be great.
Thank you in advance.

Space frames provide a lightweight solution to the problem of creating large span enclosures free from obstructions. They are employed in many major construction projects across the world, as documented in this authoritatively written volume.

This is the first in-depth book to present all instances and applications of space frames in various engineering schemes. It uses case studies and numerous illustrations to examine steel space frames from their design to their structural engineering performance.

Lie's Structural Approach to PDE Systems

Lie's Structural Approach to PDE Systems
Cambridge University Press 2000 | 572 | ISBN: 0521780888 | PDF | 1
Here is a lucid and comprehensive introduction to the differential geometric study of partial differential equations (PDE). The first book to present substantial results on local solvability of general and nonlinear PDE systems without using power series techniques, it describes a general approach to PDE systems based on ideas developed by Lie, Cartan and Vessiot. The central theme is the exploitation of singular vector field systems and their first integrals. These considerations naturally lead to local Lie groups, Lie pseudogroups and the equivalence problem, all of which are covered in detail. This book will be a valuable resource for graduate students and researchers in partial differential equations, Lie groups and related fields.

Advanced Foundation Engineering by Murthy

Advanced Foundation Engineering is the second volume in the series on geotechnical engineering, closely following A Textbook of Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering written to meet the requirements of undergraduate students. This volume covers various aspects of foundation engineering, bringing together all the relevant advanced theories coherently. As foundations have to be designed to simulate field conditions, it is imperative that the consulting engineer must be conversant with all the theories that are available as also the available approaches. This volume strives to meet most of these requirements It also presents in detail author s own research work on laterally loaded pile foundations to solve many of the problems confronted in this field. The approach is direct and simple as compared to the complicated methods proposed by others. This is an excellent text reference for the postgraduate students, practising engineers, consultants, researchers and professionals, in addition to serving as a valuable resource for the candidates appearing in Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineers (GATE), UPSC and other national selection entrance tests/examinations. 1 introduction. 2 shallow foundaion 1,2,3,4, 3 deep foundation.
