RAM Elelments v8i (SELECTseries 2) 10.5.0 Build 122

This program provides unequaled flexibility for the design and analysis of different types of 2D or 3D structures containing linear members and shell elements.
The types of analysis available are: First order (Linear Analysis), Second order (P-Delta Analysis) and Dynamic (Seismic Analysis).
In addition, RAM Elements is also capable of designing hot-rolled or cold-formed steel members, wood (sawn lumber and glulam) and reinforced concrete members using the AISC 360-05 ASD, AISC 360-05 LRFD , BS 5950-00, AISI 01 ASD, AISI 01 LRFD, AS4100-98, NDS 05 ASD, ASD 05 LRFD, ACI 318-99, ACI 318-05 y BS8110-97 codes respectively. The program includes special modules for designing spread footings, combined footings, reinforced concrete columns, retaining walls, concrete walls, tilt-up walls, masonry walls, continuous beams and trusses. Additionally RAM Elements has links with RAM Connection, a revolutionary tool that allows the fast design of steel connections inside or outside RAM Elements, STAAD.Pro, the RAM Structural System and ProSteel (SDNF).

Manual on Estimating Soil Properties for Foundation Design

This manual provides foundation engineers with a comprehensive reference on estimating engineering soil parameters from field or laboratory test data. Empirical correlations are used extensively to evaluate soil parameters. The manual describes the most important of these correlations completely and systematically with an emphasis on the correlations of relatively common tests, including those that are seeing increased usage in practice.

Geotechnical Instrumentation for Monitoring Field Performance
John Dunnicliff
ISBN: 978-0471005469
Paperback
608 pages
September 1993 (This is the 1988 print, which is the same edition as the 1993 print)

The first book on the subject written by a practitioner for practitioners. Geotechnical Instrumentation for Monitoring Field Performance Geotechnical Instrumentation for Monitoring Field Performance goes far beyond a mere summary of the technical literature and manufacturers#146; brochures: it guides readers through the entire geotechnical instrumentation process, showing them when to monitor safety and performance, and how to do it well. This comprehensive guide:
* Describes the critical steps of planning monitoring programs using geotechnical instrumentation, including what benefits can be achieved and how construction specifications should be written
* Describes and evaluates monitoring methods and recommends instruments for monitoring groundwater pressure, deformations, total stress in soil, stress change in rock, temperature, and load and strain in structural members
* Offers detailed practical guidelines on instrument calibrations, installation and maintenance, and on the collection, processing, and interpretation of instrumentation data
* Describes the role of geotechnical instrumentation during the construction and operation phases of civil engineering projects, including braced excavations, embankments on soft ground, embankment dams, excavated and natural slopes, underground excavations, driving piles, and drilled shafts
* Provides guidelines throughout the book on the best practices
