Metallic Materials compares and contrasts the corrosion resistance of wrought stainless steel and high nickel alloys and explores recent advances in the production of exotic metals. It emphasizes the physical and mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, workability and cost of various metals. The author analyzes the physical and mechanical properties of metals, defines relevant terminology, describes the various forms of corrosion to which metals may be susceptible, examines wrought ferrous metals, alloys, and typical applications, and covers wrought nickel and high nickel alloys. This is a handy reference for the busy engineer and student in corrosion, materials, chemical, mechanical, civil, design, process, metallurgical, manufacturing, and industrial engineering.

Authors: Marc A. Meyers, Krishan Kumar Chawla
Edition: 2, illustrated, revised

Length: 856 pages
Pdf: 16.9 Mb
Pdf Quality Condition: 9 points (over 10)

A balanced mechanics-materials approach and coverage of the latest developments in biomaterials and electronic materials, the new edition of this popular text is the most thorough and modern book available for upper-level undergraduate courses on the mechanical behavior of materials. To ensure that the student gains a thorough understanding the authors present the fundamental mechanisms that operate at micro- and nano-meter level across a wide-range of materials, in a way that is mathematically simple and requires no extensive knowledge of materials. This integrated approach provides a conceptual presentation that shows how the microstructure of a material controls its mechanical behavior, and this is reinforced through extensive use of micrographs and illustrations. New worked examples and exercises help the student test their understanding.

Dear Friends,

I want to ask that, is autumated wind load forTIA 222 standards included in SAP 2000 V14? I think. I had to apply Antenna loads and tower wind loads for Telecommunication Towers by manually in previous versions.

Regards,

Water Distribution System Monitoring: A Practical Approach for Evaluating Drinking Water Quality
Author: Abigail F. Cantor
Publisher: CRC Press
Year: 2009
ISBN: 1439800529 | 232 pages | PDF | 6,15 MB

Info:
While proactive monitoring costs money at the outset, having water quality problems is even more expensive in the long run. Delineating the economic and practical benefits of proactive monitoring, this book provides the tools for well-defined and measurable control of water quality compliant with current regulations yet adaptable to regulatory changes. The author explores new procedures and presents a monitoring device, already in use at several municipal water utilities, that provide higher quality water chemistry and microbiology data than other current methods. She outlines the procedures and includes equipment lists and assembly instructions for this open-source technology.

[/i]Hello!
I was wondering does anyone knows which type of beam formulation (Euler - Bernoulli or Timoshenko) does Plaxis and Geostudio uses. I tried to find out throughout manuals but there isn't any clue.
Thanks
Best regards

This book is essential reading for 21st century practitioners and students who need to do structural analysis. It contains a great deal of information that is not available in any other book on the subject. This is because the conventional view of structural analysis is rooted in the early part of the 20th century in the pre-computer era rather than present time.
