The finite element method (FEM) has become the most widely accepted general-purpose technique for numerical simulations in engineering and applied mathematics. Principal applications arise in continuum mechanics, fluid flow, thermodynamics, and field theory. In particular, no grid generation is necessary, which eliminates a difficult and often time-consuming preprocessing step. This book is made up of 6 chapters and it is very well organized. To make a long story short, buy this book with confidence, it is worth every penny.
This is a superb reference handbook for serious engineers and vibration analysts. This book consists of 12 chapters in which there are numerous case studies with photos.
Each procedure or theory is discussed in a non-mathematical way. This book should be of interest to those involved in diagnosing gear problems, teaching gear diagnosis, or writing vibration specifications for gears. This book is based on the authors 30 years experience in the filed of vibration.
