frame partial fixity springs in SAP2000 or ETABS
Posted by: ralarcon - 09-07-2010, 11:18 PM - Forum: Archive Problem - Replies (6)

Hello!

I want to simulate a metalic structure with intermedium values (p.e. 70% or 50% of stiffness) on the joints in SAP2000 or ETABS using:
Assign menu > Frame/Line > Frame Releases/Partial Fixity .

How can I find 'k' values that could simulate my reality?

Thank you

Hey,

I'd really appreciate it if someone could share a copy of Brinkgrieves "Selection of soil models and parameters for geotechnical engineering application" from the Proceedings of the Sessions of the Geo-Frontiers 2005 Congress.
Thanks
