Design of Steel-Concrete Composite Bridges to Eurocodes

Author: Ioannis Vayas; Aristidis Iliopoulos | Size: 33.7 MB | Format: PDF | Quality: Original preprint | Publisher: CRC Press | Year: 2013 | pages: 584 | ISBN: 9781466557451

Features:
- Combines solid theoretical foundation with bridge engineering practice
- Includes general code independent material on conceptual design and structural analysis
- Covers a broad spectrum of subjects such as materials, actions, strength, stability, serviceability, fatigue, seismic design, and bearings
- Includes many illustrative design examples
- Bases information on modern international regulations, the Eurocodes, widely used worldwide

Summary:
Combining a theoretical background with engineering practice, Design of Steel-Concrete Composite Bridges to Eurocodes covers the conceptual and detailed design of composite bridges in accordance with the Eurocodes. Bridge design is strongly based on prescriptive normative rules regarding loads and their combinations, safety factors, material properties, analysis methods, required verifications, and other issues that are included in the codes. Composite bridges may be designed in accordance with the Eurocodes, which have recently been adopted across the European Union. This book centers on the new design rules incorporated in the EN-versions of the Eurocodes.
The book addresses the design for a majority of composite bridge superstructures and guides readers through the selection of appropriate structural bridge systems. It introduces the loads on bridges and their combinations, proposes software supported analysis models, and outlines the required verifications for sections and members at ultimate and serviceability limit states, including fatigue and plate buckling, as well as seismic design of the deck and the bearings. It presents the main types of common composite bridges, discusses structural forms and systems, and describes preliminary design aids and erection methods. It provides information on railway bridges, but through the design examples makes road bridges the focal point.
This text includes several design examples within the chapters, explores the structural details, summarizes the relevant design codes, discusses durability issues, presents the properties for structural materials, concentrates on modeling for global analysis, and lays down the rules for the shear connection. It presents fatigue analysis and design, fatigue load models, detail categories, and fatigue verifications for structural steel, reinforcement, concrete, and shear connectors. It also covers structural bearings and dampers, with an emphasis on reinforced elastomeric bearings. The book is appropriate for structural engineering students, bridge designers or practicing engineers converting from other codes to Eurocodes.

  Cr@cking New CSi products
Posted by: pezhmankhan - 08-16-2013, 07:56 AM - Forum: Free Discussion - Replies (1)

Dear Friends,
As you know CSi has changed the licensing option about its products and they can only activated online. Recently I download new CSi bridge and try to create a trial license for it by TrailLicense that included in folder, but got no success.
Second I have an old medicine for Perform3D that create by LND and replace "lsapiw32.dll". When I copy this dll file to installation folder and running the program, the error of License Missing changed. So I think if there is a way to cr@ck these softs would be changing the original lsapiw32.dll.
Any idea or help?

Modeling, analysis and design of bridge structures have been integrated into CSiBridge to create the ultimate in computerized engineering tools. The ease with which all of these tasks can be accomplished makes CSiBridge the most versatile and productive software program available on the market today.

Using CSiBridge, engineers can easily define complex bridge geometries, boundary conditions and load cases. The bridge models are defined parametrically, using terms that are familiar to bridge engineers such as layout lines, spans, bearings, abutments, bents, hinges and post-tensioning. The software creates spine, shell or solid object models that update automatically as the bridge definition parameters are changed.

CSiBridge design allows for quick and easy design and retrofitting of steel and concrete bridges. The parametric modeler allows the user to build simple or complex bridge models and to make changes efficiently while maintaining total control over the design process. Lanes and vehicles can be defined quickly and include width effects. Simple and practical Gantt charts are available to simulate modeling of construction sequences and scheduling.

CSiBridge includes an easy to follow wizard that outlines the steps necessary to create a bridge model.

Completely integrated within the CSiBridge design package is the power of the SAPFire® analysis engine, including staged construction, creep and shrinkage analysis, cable tensioning to target forces, camber and shape finding, geometric nonlinearity (P-delta and large displacements), material nonlinearity (superstructure, bearings, substructure and soil supports), buckling and static and dynamic analysis. All of these apply to a single comprehensive model. In addition, AASHTO LRFD design is included with automated load combinations, superstructure design and the latest seismic design.
