Vehicle-Bridge Interaction Dynamics: With Applications To High-Speed Railways

Vehicle-Bridge Interaction Dynamics: With Applications To High-Speed Railways

info:
Y. B. Yang, J. D. Yau, Y. S. Wu, "Vehicle-Bridge Interaction Dynamics"
Publisher: World Scientific Publishing Company | 2004-07-31 | ISBN 9812388478 | PDF | 564 pages | 10.2 MB

The commercial operation of the bullet train in 1964 in Japan marked the beginning of a new era for high-speed railways. Because of the huge amount of kinetic energy carried at high speeds, a train may interact significantly with the bridge and even resonate with it under certain circumstances. Equally important is the riding comfort of the train cars, which relates closely to the maneuverability of the train during its passage over the bridge at high speeds.

This book is unique in that it is devoted entirely to the interaction between the supporting bridges and moving trains, the so-called vehicle–bridge interaction (VBI). Finite element procedures have been developed to treat interaction problems of various complexities, while the analytical solutions established for some typical problems are helpful for identifying the key parameters involved. Besides, some field tests were coducted to verify the theories established.

This book provides an up-to-date coverage of research conducted on various aspects of the VBI problems. Using the series of VBI elements derived, the authors study a number of frontier problems, including the impact response of bridges with elastic bearings, the dynamic respose of curved beam to moving centrifugal forces, the stability and derailment of trains moving over bridges shaken by earthquakes, the impact response of two trains crossing on a bridge, the steady-state response of trains moving over elevated bridges, and so on.

This is the NoPE version of crack (dll). Tried x-force kg v2 and don't work (at least in x32 version) so this is another solution and other links too. All links checked and files downloaded but those are not links in my account.

A single-source reference covering all aspects of formulas for stress and strain

Formulas for Stress, Strain, and Structural Matrices, Second Edition presents and classifies data related to all the applications of stress and strain analysis in a handy and useful single-source reference. Delivering key material not found in other books on the subject, this updated edition enables readers to harness the efficiency and accuracy of today's computers for deformation and stress analysis.

This versatile Second Edition provides the critical information needed to identify the responses of general mechanical elements and structural members, as well as to find simple formulas that are organized by member type to facilitate the solution of more complex members. Formulas are given for stresses, displacements, buckling loads, natural frequencies, transient responses, beams, torsional systems, extension bars, frames, thin-walled beams, curved bars, rotors, plates, thick shells, and thin shells. The tables of structural matrices are powerful tools for developing custom computer programs to solve special problems.

Formulas for Stress, Strain, and Structural Matrices, Second Edition features:

* New material on biomechanics, biomaterials, viscoelasticity, nanotechnology, MEMS, and material selection
* Extensive geometries or load cases for different structural members
* Stiffness matrices enable readers to quickly and easily construct their own computer solutions
* Formulas for dynamic response and free vibration
* Background material on stress and strain, mechanical properties of materials, stress analysis, stress concentration, and fracture and fatigue mechanics

A conveniently organized resource for the strength of material formulas, Formulas for Stress, Strain, and Structural Matrices, Second Edition eases the task of analysis and provides critical information for mechanical, design, civil, and structural engineers as well as stress analysts.
