Dear members,
please someone upload the following paper:

Transmission Line Dynamic/Static Structural Testing

by Leon Kempner, Strether Smith, and Richard C. Stroud

Abstract
A series of full-scale structural static and dynamic tests were erformed to characterize selected properties of a 1200-kV mechanical test line. Prior to the experiment tests, a finite-element analysis of the test tower was conducted. The analytical techniques used to determine the static and dynamic behavior of a transmission tower will provide satisfactory results. Full-scale dynamic testing using the twang excitation technique proved adequate for characterizing the dynamic properties of a transmission line tower and conductor-bundle system. The importance of a pretest computer analysis to aid in experiment design is demonstrated.

Dear members,
please someone upload the following papers:

Vibration of Towers Due to Galloping of Iced Cables

authors:
Milos Novak, Hiroshi Tanaka and Alan G. Davenport

Abstract:
Wind tunnel experiments were conducted with stationary and vibrating models whose cross sections were similar to those of some ice formations observed. Aerodynamic data established for iced cables were introduced into the analysis of the whole guyed tower. The quasi-study theory of galloping instability was extended to this end. It was found that the energy input generated by galloping of one cable can be sufficient to cause large amplitudes of the whole tower even at low wind speeds.
