I renamed and use: File --> Drawing Utilities --> Recover and opens normally to me.
Let me know if solve to you!

Complementary note:

- The file don't open or shows missing fonts message?
- For all missing fonts (font not found), choose gbcbig.shx font.
- For "Select Shape File" dialog box, press CANCEL.

That's all! They may open!

I opened the Dwg files (with Acad 2011 english ver.) without any problems
(not used Dell Brett's method, just opened files directly).
They were Acad 2000 format and there were many many Chinese words
inside the Dwg files.
