Some tips and considerations:

1- Use JPG file format for the images, instead of BMP file format. It's 10x smaller!

2- To create a simple PDF file, like a book, use a PDF file generator, like doPDF. To use it, just install the virtual printer (doPDF), open your text editor, put each image in a single full page and print "as PDF".
