1. EN 1011-2:2001 Welding - Recommendations for welding of metallic materials - Part 2: Arc welding of ferritic steels
This European Standard gives guidance for manual, semi-mechanised, mechanised and automatic arc welding of ferritic steels(see clause 5), excluding ferritic stainless steels, in all product forms.

2. EN 1011-3:2000 Welding - Recommendations for welding of metallic materials - Part 3: Arc welding of stainless steels
This European Standard gives general recommendations for the fusion welding of stainless steels. Specific details relevant to austenitic, austenitic-ferritic, ferritic and martensitic stainless are given in annexes A to D.

3. EN 1011-4:2000 Welding - Recommendations for welding of metallic materials - Part 4: Arc welding of aluminium and aluminium alloys
This European Standard gives general recommendations for the manual, mechanized and automatic fusion welding of wrought and cast aluminium alloys and combinations therefo. For general guidelines, see EN 1011-1. In this Standard the word "pipe" alone or in combinations is used to mean "tube" or "hollow section", although these terms are often used for different categories of product by different industries.

4.EN 1011-5:2003 Welding - Recommendations for welding of metallic materials - Part 5: Welding of clad steel
This European standard specifies common instructions and requirements for the seam closing by overlay welding of clad steel/base metal joints.

5.EN 1011-6:2005 Welding - Recommendation for welding of metallic materials - Part 6: Laser beam welding
This European Standard gives general guidance for laser beam welding and associated processes of metallic materials in all forms of product (e.g. cast, wrought, extruded, forged).
NOTE Some guidance on laser beam cutting, drilling, surface treatment and cladding is given in Annex F.

6.EN 1011-7:2004 Welding - Recommendations for welding of metallic materials - Part 7: Electron beam welding
This document may be used for the electron beam welding (process no. 51 according to EN ISO 4063) of weldable metallic materials according to CR ISO 15608. It does not contain data on permissible stresses on weld seams or on the testing and evaluation of weld seams. Such data can either be seen from the relevant user documents or should be separately agreed between the contracting parties.
A requirement for the application of this document is that the recommendations should be used by appropriately trained and experienced personnel.

7.EN 1011-8:2004 Welding - Recommendations for welding of metallic materials - Part 8: Welding of cast irons
This European Standard specifies the requirements for fusion welding of unalloyed and low-alloy cast iron castings produced in accordance with:
- EN 1561, Founding - Grey cast irons;
- EN 1562, Founding - Malleable cast irons;
- EN 1563, Founding - Spheroidal graphite cast irons.
This European Standard does not apply to the joint welding of cast iron castings to other materials.
