Dear miquan
File from JUANCM:
El Centro 1940 ---> when file opened in notepad having 8 column of data
San Fernando 1971 ---> when file opened in notepad having 5 column of data
From your post TH with 10 column of data, can I summary for Juan file:

*) for Elcentro : I copy some of its data
PEER NGA STRONG MOTION DATABASE RECORD
PARKFIELD 05/18/40 , Valle, NS (CDMG STATION 1013)
ACCELERATION TIME HISTORY IN UNITS OF G
4369 0.0200 NPTS, DT
0.00630 0.00364 0.00099 0.00428 0.00758 0.01087 0.00682 0.00277
Input Time history in etabs
--> point perline = 8
--> value at equal interval = 0.02
--> use free format
What is meaning 4369 above ?
DO MY INPUT CORRECT IN ETABS ?

*) FOR San fernando : I copy some of its data
PEER NGA STRONG MOTION DATABASE RECORD
SAN FERNANDO 02/09/71 14:00, PACOIMA DAM, 164 (CDMG STATION 279)
ACCELERATION TIME HISTORY IN UNITS OF G
4164 0.0100 NPTS, DT
0.305422E-03 0.444806E-03 0.680438E-03 0.761411E-03 0.812106E-03
Input Time history in etabs
--> point perline = 5
--> value at equal interval = 0.01
--> use free format
Waht the meaning of 4164 above ?
DO MY INPUT CORRECT IN ETABS ?

Dear budis,

All records contains recorded values for accelerations at equal intervals. You can use any of the files in SAP/Etabs. Examine each file in notepad/wordpad to see how much lines you should skip, what time interval was used and how many points are on one line.
