Hi kmmh76,

One main difference is by the fact that the BS5400: Part 2: Appendix C ignore the horizontal vibrations as that producing the well known London Millennium Footbridge events, see:

I think that's why BS5800-2:2006 Annex B added the horizontal vibration limit to 1.5Hz.

Maybe, but things are much more complicated than a simple limitation of a frequence.
It's more profitable to refer to the last documents dealing with this subject, as those previously recommended.
