Sap 14.1 design parameters

Hi all

I have problem with SAP2000 v14.0. When i design a HSS section, the analysis result for bending moment and design moment is different? why is that? can anyone give insight?

which code are you designing according to?

Thx, I've solved the problem, actually it is because of amplified moment due to non compact or slender section o take into account the p-delta effect. So SAP2000 is very accuratem just becareful if you use the 2nd order analysis instead of the 1st order amplified moment method per AISC 360-05
