A software system called as TOWTEST has been developed to help in the various aspects of tower testing operations such as stub setting, tower rigging and control channel settings. The software helps in designing a loading scheme wherein hydraulic rams are employed to apply loads, on different points of a tower, by the resultant load-application method. The software also helps in making necessary, presettmgs of the control system consisting of custom built control channels with recorders to monitor load cell, angle cell, and hydraulic ram operations. The software produces tabular statements and rigging drawings, which serve as ready reckoner during various stages of tower test operations starting right from the test tower erection
