Implementing Transportation Knowledge Networks

This report presents a business plan for the development of Transportation Knowledge Networks in the United States. The project builds on a number of previous Transportation Research Board activities aimed at improving access to information for transportation professionals. If successfully implemented, a decentralized, managed network of information centers will help link users to the information they need, when they need it. This report will be of interest to all transportation practitioners, managers, and executives who need more effective and efficient ways to navigate the vast pool of information resources available to them.
