request papers by private message

Hi, is asking for some papers by private message allowed as well?

As far as I know, you have limited amount of PM's that you can sent to other users, so how come you can be sure that only those users to whom you are sending the PM, have the thing you need? Is that prudent/reasonable.

Ain't it better to request for something in public so there is better chance for you to get the thing you want?

Or maybe the papers you are requesting are very useful for others some day. If they are posted in the forum (public) then there will be easy to find them for other users.
At least please be kind and share with us (forum) the papers. You might help some users sometimes.

requesting material by PM is not allowed, this is not good for requester, publisher and also others. if anyone wants a material try to send own request in request section.
