Flat slab AutoCAD

Hi,

If anyone have a drawing of a Flat Slab with drop panels showing the reinforcement details please post it for my reference.

Dear my friend,

I think the best choice for you is to use CSI safe software. Model a flat slab with drop panels which is also included in the templates of the program. Then apply a loading a design that. After that you can easily use the detailing of the software to produce the detail drawing for the flat slab. You can then export them to dxf and open them in AutoCAD.

Basically I am looking for a standard drawing to check how the reinforcement is done and presented...plan view(s) and sections.

Another thing I want to clarify:

how do I dimension the drop panel. Is it same as column strip?? I couldn't find anything on this in Australian Code.

Dear my friend,

Mainly the drop panel dimensions are sized based on the shear and some other factors. This must not be the same size as the width of your column strip. You can have a look at many concrete books posted in this forum. Find them by searching.

The dimension of the drop panel will depend on the result of your analysis. This will also define the extent of the column strip, the drop panel and the span or middle/other necessary strips.
If you find that difficult to accomplish, try soft ware such as Orion and or safe. We have them in this forum.
