For which purpose you want to link revit and excel...

Try to download extension4revit....its works for grid generation, column,beam directly from excel sheet...just need to enter numerical data in excel

You can use "Visual Studio Tools for Applications" to connect Revit and Excell.
Both programs are programmable using Visual Studio.
