Hi everyone!

I just want to have a survey regarding the best way to model a flat plate/slab.

Which of the following model do you prefer to use in your analysis when having a flat slab and with varying area loads?

a. Slab defined as membrane with imaginary beam with depth equal to the depth of slab connected to the vertical elements.

b. Slab defined as shell meshed automatically to vertical elements.

c. Slab defined as shell meshed manually to column/wall.
