Well, the thing is simple:
old "basic" routines are Gw basic and Quick basic routines, nothing to work with visual basic or vba.
If you need algebra routines (workig for vba) I suggest alglib, written in c++, visual basic (say vba), pascal.

Anyway I found the "code pack" associated to NR trd ed.
There is code for c++ , fortran 77 fortran90.
