Dear Dell Brett,
I do not agree with you on XP SP3. Because I have been working with Autodesk Civil 3D, MXRoad V8i on XP SP3. But I had lot of stability issues. I prefer SP2.
You'r correct on Vista. It's just the appearance. Really difficult to run Civil 3D and MXroad.
Now I'm using Windows 7, I like it because it's simple appearance and my highways softwares are working well at the moment. I think it's too early to comment in detail for me. However It has lot of cool features which are performing better than new features had on vista.
For me changing XP to 7, it's like swiching Windows 2000 to XP. I never used windows 98 or ME.
