Dear friends,
Here is the solution for the ones who wants to use Staad Pro v8i 2007.05 and RAM products together:
The problem is originating from IEG License Service. RAM products also need IEG License Service to work as you know. The Staad Pro med for v8i 2007.02 is for the old version of IEG License Service. Bentley.liclib.dll from this med is in communication with IEGLicLib.dll. When a new version of IEG L.S. is installed, it copies the new version of IEGLicLib.dll file to system32. Removing the new license server or installing the older one will not remove this new file because the system keeps the most recent IEGLicLib.dll in the system32. If you want to use version 2007.02 med, you must manually overwrite that file with the older one.
Steps:
1. Install all the recent versions of the desired products and the license server (02.00.16 - 17 April 2009). Apply the med files of Staad Pro v8i 2007.02 and HWLockDLL.dll (as you know)
2. Copy and overwrite the old version of IEGLicLib.dll given below to *:\windows\system32 folder
It will work.
