fib Bulletin 42 Constitutive modelling of high strength / high performance concrete

Author: International Federation for Structural Concrete (fib) | Size: 3.13 MB | Format: PDF | Quality: Original preprint | Publisher: International Federation for Structural Concrete (fib) | Year: 2008 | pages: 130 | ISBN: 9782883940826

HSC/HPC is basically constituted of the same materials as normal strength, normal weight
concretes (NSC). This means that methods and techniques used to increase strength are the same as for NSC and consequently the influence on other material properties follows the same pattern as known for normal strength concrete. Considering the constituent materials of HSC/HPC the definitions, requirements and recommendations given in the CEB-FIP Model Code 1990 (including appendices) remain valid. The range of applicability of the constitutive relations presented in this report is confined up to the concrete grade C120 if there is no different limitation mentioned.

fib Bulletin 58 Design of anchorages in concrete

Author: International Federation for Structural Concrete (fib) | Size: 5 MB | Format: PDF | Quality: Scanner | Publisher: International Federation for Structural Concrete (fib) | Year: 2011 | pages: 280 | ISBN: 9782883940987

Despite the widespread use of cast-in-place and post-installed anchors in construction, the overall level of understanding in the engineering community regarding their behaviour remains quite limited. Furthermore, since the publication of the original CEB design guide, “Design of Fastenings in Concrete”, ongoing research and additional application experience has led to an improved understanding and deepened knowledge in various areas of fastening technology.

fib Bulletin 58 therefore represents a substantial revision of the original 1997 guide. It addresses a variety of loading types and failure modes and takes into account the current state of the art for anchorages in new construction as well as for their use in the repair and strengthening of existing concrete structures.

fib Bulletin 58 provides a method for the design of the anchorage and additional rules for the design of the concrete member to which the load is transferred. The specified provisions are based on the currently available research.

fib Bulletins from 1 to 52

Author: fib | Size: 748 MB | Format: PDF | Quality: Original preprint | Publisher: fib | Year: 1999 - 2009 | pages: over 800

"fib Bulletins" is a generic term for a series of publications that includes several types of technical documents: Model Codes, Application Manuals, Design Guides or Recommendations, Synthesis or State-of-Art Reports, and Technical Reports, which form a detailed record of the results attained by Commissions and Task Groups in the field of research synthesis and operational application to concrete structures. Depending on a Bulletin's status, its contents will be harmonised through approval by a Task Group (Technical Reports) or Commission (State-of-Art Reports), or, if necessary, presented, discussed and assessed by the Technical Council (Manuals, Guides and Recommendations) or the General Assembly (Model Codes). They are published irregularly, about five to six times per year.
