ISOLATOR INSTALLATION SEQUENCES
WITHOUT RETROFIT
a) Form and reinforce column.
b) Position Template Type 1 and fix securely (Sketch 7).
c) Pour concrete to 25mm below underside of plate.
d) Remove Template Type 1.
e) Position bearings on 25mm steel shims (Sketch 8).
f) Grout base of bearing using Conbextra flowable grout with a “flow-through”
technique. Allow to cure (Sketch 9).
g) Cast beams on top of bearings (Sketch 10).
h) Tighten nuts to top and bottom plates.

ISOLATOR INSTALLATION SEQUENCES
WITH RETROFIT
a) Form and reinforce column (or base structure).
b) Position template and fix securely (Sketch 11).
c) Pour concrete to 25mm below underside of plate.
d) Cast upper beams on top of template (Sketch 12).
e) Leave falsework for beams and slab in place.
f) Remove template (Sketch 13).
g) Apply paintable type epoxy to topside of upper bearing plate. Bolt bearing to
underside of upper beams. Securely tighten bolts (sketch 14).
h) Grout base using Conbextra flowable grout with “flow through” technique.
Allow to cure (Sketch 15).
i) Tighten nuts to lower plate.
j) Remove propping and false-work.
