If your user account control "UAC" is enabled in Windows 7 (by default it is enabled), you should apply the patchs with right clicking on them and then selecting "run as administrator".
If you want to disable UAC, go to Control Panel > User Accounts and in your account settings there is "Change User Account Control settings". When it is opened reduce the bar to "never notify". In order to do this, your account must have appropriate privilege.
I installed these softwares and tried to apply the patchs. There seems no problem in Windows 7.
