In many structural applications, the ultimate purpose of using stochastic analysis is to determine the reliability of a structure, which has been designed to withstand the random excitations. The present study is concerned with one of the failures, which are the results of the dynamic response of the stable cable stayed bridges. If Y(t) is the dynamic response (either deflection, strain or stress) of the bridge at a critical point, the bridge may fail upon the occurrence of one of the following cases (Y.K. Lin, 1967): Code: *************************************** |
