This Part of EN 508 specifies requirements for self-supporting roofing products for discontinuous laying made from metallic coated steel sheet with or without additional organic coatings. The standard establishes general characteristics, definitions, classifications and labelling for the products, together with requirements for the materials from which the products can be manufactured. It is intended to be used either by manufacturers to ensure that their products comply with the requirements or by purchasers to verify that the products comply when purchased before they are despatched from the factory. It specifies the requirements for products which enable them to meet all normal service conditions. The standard applies to all discontinuously laid self-supporting external profiled sheets for roofing with the exception of tiles with a surface area less than 1 m2 and produced by stamping. These profiled roof sheets are designed to keep wind, rain and snow out of the building and to transfer any resultant loads and infrequent maintenance loads to the structure. No requirements for supporting construction, design of roof system and execution of connections and flashings are included.

1.1 This document establishes general principles for the execution of micropiles.
They are for:
- drilled micropiles a shaft diameter not greater than 300 mm;
- driven micropiles a shaft diameter or a maximum shaft cross sectional extension not greater than 150 mm.
1.2 Micropiles are structural members to transfer actions to the ground and may contain bearing elements to transfer directly or indirectly loads and or to limit deformations. Their shaft and base resistance may be improved (mostly by grouting) and they may be constructed with (see Figure 1):
- uniform cross section (straight shaft); or
- telescopically changing shaft dimensions;
- shaft enlargements; and/or
- base enlargement.
1.3 Other than practical considerations, there are no limitations regarding, length, rake (definition of rake, see Figure 2), slenderness ratio or shaft and base enlargements.
1.4 The provisions of the document apply to (see Figure 3):
- single micropiles;
- micropile groups;
- reticulated micropiles;
- micropile walls.
1.5 The micropiles which are the subject of this document can be installed into the ground using drilling, driving or a combination of these methods.
1.6 The material of micropiles covered by this document can be:
- steel or other reinforcement materials;
- grout, mortar or concrete;
- a combination of above.
1.7 Micropiles may be used for:
- working under restricted access and/or headroom conditions;
- foundations of new structures (particularly in very heterogeneous soil or rock formations);
- reinforcing or strengthening of existing structures to increase the capacity to transfer load to depth with acceptable load settlement characteristics, e.g. underpinning works;
- reducing settlements and/or displacements;
- forming a retaining wall;
- reinforcing of soil to form a bearing and/or retaining structure;
- improving slope stability;
- securing against uplift;
- other applications where micropile techniques are appropriate.
1.8 Mixed-in-place columns and timber piles are not included in this document. Columns constructed by jet grouting are covered by EN 12716. Ground anchors are covered by EN 1537.

This European Standard specifies the properties of aggregates and filler aggregates obtained by processing natural, manufactured or recycled materials and mixtures of these aggregates for use in concrete. It covers aggregates having an oven dried particle density greater than 2,00 Mg/m3 (2 000 kg/m3) for all concrete, including concrete in conformity with EN 206-1 and concrete used in roads and other pavements and for use in precast concrete products. It also specifies that a quality control system is in place for use in factory production control and it provides for the evaluation of conformity of the products to this European Standard. This standard does not cover filler aggregates to be used as a constituent in cement or as other than inert filler aggregates for concrete.

This document specifies a test method for making cylindrical specimens of hydraulically bound mixture to a predetermined density using Proctor equipment or vibrating table compaction. The method is appropriate for mixtures, or that part of a mixture, containing aggregate up to a maximum size of 31,5 mm.

This European Standard specifies the requirements for individual electrically operated light devices, called warning lights, emitting a continuous or regular intermittent light of a single colour which, by their colour and position alone, are used to warn, inform or guide road users. It specifies the requirements for visual, structural and operational performances and the relevant test methods to be used. These devices rely upon existing furniture to provide the mounting. This European Standard is not applicable to lighting devices which convey messages by additional means (e.g. variable message signs) or which convey a mandatory instruction (e.g. traffic signals) or which are covered by vehicle lighting regulations. This European Standard does not consider horizontal loads because it is the mounting to which they are fixed, which is not covered by this European Standard, which has to resist applied horizontal loads.

This European Standard specifies requirements for the classification and description of reclaimed asphalt as a constituent material for asphalt mixtures. This European Standard only specifies reclaimed asphalt with bituminous binders: paving grade bitumen, modified bitumen or hard grade bitumen.
9. EN 13108-20:2006 Bituminous mixtures - Material specifications - Part 20: Type Testing
This European Standard specifies Type Testing procedures for use for the validation of bituminous mixtures for use in roads, airfields and other trafficked areas.
10. EN 13108-21:2006 Bituminous mixtures - Material specifications - Part 21: Factory Production Control This European Standard specifies both quality and Factory Production Control requirements for use during the manufacture of bituminous mixtures intended for use on roads, airfields and other trafficked areas. Additional testing carried out within contracts is beyond the scope of this European Standard. The Factory Production Control is to be applied to European Standards for bituminous mixtures if regulatory marking of conformity is to be applied. It is also a necessary part of evaluation of conformity in situations where regulatory marking does not apply. This European Standard is applicable to the control of bituminous mixtures where the constituents and target composition are known, and have been shown by means of Type Testing to comply with all appropriate specified compositional, performance related or performance based requirements in EN 13108-1 to -7.

This European Standard for a single series of flanges specifies requirements for circular steel flanges in PN designations PN 2,5 to PN 400 and nominal sizes from DN 10 to DN 4000. This European Standard specifies the flange types and their facings, dimensions, tolerances, threading, bolt sizes, flange jointing face surface finish, marking, materials, pressure/ temperature ratings and approximate flange masses. For the purpose of this European Standard, "flanges" include also lapped ends and collars. This European Standard applies to flanges manufactured in accordance with the methods described in Table 1. Non-gasketed pipe joints are outside the scope of this European Standard.
