Bentley StormCAD is software for integrated design and analysis of storm sewer systems. The intuitive interface of the program makes it easier than ever the design and analysis of systems of stormwater runoff from the street to the water outlet opening. Bentley StormCAD calculates volume flow, the intensity of the input stream, storm water and flow in the pipeline.

Bentley StormCAD is a turnkey solution that allows you to use it independently, or in AutoCAD. Regardless of platform, software Bentley StormCAD contains a single set of data files for the appropriate model for interoperability with each platform.

Standalone interface provides easy to use layout tools model, support the background of complicated structure, conversion utilities from CAD, GIS and databases, and unlimited levels of undo and redo operations layout. In addition, AutoCAD users can add AutoCAD integration features to create, build, and charting patterns with high precision in an environment that has become familiar to them.

Bentley StormCAD defines interception of the flow of the receiving water collector system and directs the flow of the bypass channel to the selected endpoints. Water intakes can be calculated by the method of the Federal Highway Administration US (FHWA) HEC-22, and as the water intakes can be selected lattice, curbs, manholes, ditches, and combinations thereof. Engineers can use a variety of methods for calculating the pressure loss, including methods HEC-22 Energy and AASHTO.

Bentley StormCAD used to determine the subcritical, critical and supercritical conditions using standard reliable Slowly Changing incremental algorithms. Bentley StormCAD expects friction loss of flow using Manning formulas, Cutters, Darcy-Weisbach and Hazen-Williams, and also allows you to select segments of the pipe round, square, arched or elliptical, and irregular sections of sewer, trapezoidal or triangular shape.

Bentley StormCAD uses a rational method of calculating the peak flood flow when designing the collector storm sewer. Instead, flow, calculated rational way, Bentley StormCAD also allows direct input of known flow rates for supply intakes. You can enter or import data about time concentration of the catchment area, or by specifying the minimum allowable time of concentration to avoid exceeding the maximum flow volume of small receiving waters
