Thank you but I don't know exactly how does work an emulator. And which is proper for my software in this case.

Hi,

Network or stand alone security codes have been stored in the hardlock (dongle).
whenever you run the software, it looks for hardlock. Without that you can not run properly.S

Some smart guy crack the dongle routine and write the memory resident programe for Hardlock address. When application software looks for hardlock, it starts work.

But you can not use emulator for any software as there are many type of hardlock and different security arrangement in the hardlock. It depands on your luck.

If you have hardlock, you can get proper emulator for your software. You will have to pay about $100. I have tried.
Check in the internet for dongle copy or emulator services.

Regards,

donaldk

It would be great to tell us what software and version or the dongle type.
Bellow is the link to the main resource regarding dongle fixes, any enthusiast should read:

You should be very careful with cloning because software could report and block your authentic dongle if it detects cloning procedure.
Software developers place many checks in code. Some are active at software start, some trigger at equal time intervals, others randomly, some are verbose others are silent.
For a hacker is difficult to trace them all.

And I've heard of a successful story regarding strucad v12. But it still required a valid license for activation and reactivation at reinstall or 6/12 months. The reactivation process meant to send by email each time a different unique code generated by strucad to strucad company. The strucad company replied each time (human not automatic) with the right corresponding code. If too many reactivations are requested I think strucad company becomes suspicious.
So successful cloning is not always enough to make software work.

On the other hand some software is very badly protected by dongle and it doesn't really need dongle cloning/emulation.

I would start by searching if your software/dongle is listed on dongle cloning websites.
