Description:

- Bluebeam Revu eXtreme is the exciting new alternative to Adobe Acrobat, offering a large assortment of tools to modify PDF documents directly like a graphics program would, without first having to convert to a graphics format, make the changes, convert back to PDF.

- Adobe has been dragging its feet regarding developing tools for editing PDF files directly, partly because their original plan was to invent the Portable Document Format to preserve a document's format across various platforms, barring users from modifying the PDF file. Bluebeam, on the other hand, has been listening to users of PDFs and have developed this magnificent tool.

- Bluebeam has proven to be better than Acrobat in most ways, with an immensely customizable interface. You can change just about every aspect of the main window.

- There is only one feature where Acrobat still has the upper hand - the OCR of Bluebeam uses ABBYY software which is ridiculously slow in comparison to Acrobat's OCR, offering only marginally better accuracy.
