This design guide is an update to the AISC publication Torsional Analysis of Steel Members and advances further the work upon which that publication was based.Chapter 2 and 3 provide an overview of the fundamentals and basic theory of torsional loading for structural steel members. Chapter 4 covers the determination of torsional stresses. Chapter 5 illustrate the design process as well as the use of the design aids for torsional properties.

Design Guide 26, Design of Blast Resistant Structures, provides guidance for the design of blast resistant structures and progressive collapse mitigation. Background information and some basic principles are reviewed, as well as the presentation of design examples. The goal of this Design Guide is to provide enough information for a structural engineer to effectively interact with a security or blast consultant. The major topics covered are blast loading, design criteria for buildings and where to find it, structural response to blast loads, blast resistant design and analysis, and resistance to progressive collapse.
