Hello friends,

I am doing my Masters in research work and i have taken a topic of Non linear finite element analysis of Reinforced concrete structural components. Can anyone suggest me of what type of research i can do using this and if there are any books, journals or research papers please guide me to complete the research work that i have taken. Looking forward for a positive result from this forum.

Regards,
Muthu
I suggest you to use Ansys for those kind finite element analysis. In Ansys there are special element types for different purposes- with concrete function (solid 65) and reinforcement (link 8 or other). I know that there are many researches in Ansys about rebar used in concrete, but for example fiberconcrete material is almost impossible to get there- only by changing something in real constants. About the books, journals and research papers- there are many materials, which can be found in Google about those kind of stuff. Ithink finding the theory woun't be problem, most important is to get some research and I think Ansys is the best solution for that.
Hi muthu.mj,

Huge subject.
Try a long, long... Google search.
In Civilea Forum there are also interesting documents.
There are a lot of PhD theses all over the world.

However, for a starting point, here are some informations:
