GSLIP is a Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) solution for performing Newmark –type
sliding block analyses quickly and easily within Microsoft Excel. Given a yield
acceleration, a time history file is numerically integrated twice to obtain block
displacement.
GSLIP is designed to require little to no preformatting of most earthquake input files, and
outputs a formatted summary table as well as the most commonly requested chart types:
· Acceleration vs. Time (Time History)
· Block Velocity vs. Time
· Block Displacement vs. Time
· Acceleration, Block Velocity, and Block Displacement vs. Time (3 charts on one sheet)
· Total Block Displacement vs. Yield Acceleration
Input and output units are flexible (both English and metric systems), and the software
will automatically scale the input acceleration to a desired level and determine which
direction (positive or negative) results in a higher displacement, if desired. Because the
software is integrated with Microsoft Excel, modifying or adding charts is easy.

This spreadsheet is not free. But fortunately, as you work with program you see that when the 5 number of trial runs finish, you can go to input panel by hitting the cancel button two times.
