Software for Strain Compatibility - carlofabie - 11-12-2009

Hello everyone!

Can anybody recommend a good software for the analysis of columns/beams using strain compatibility? It would be good if the software would be able to explicitly display the stress/strain in the reinforcing bars. I am currently using BIAX; however, it's really not user friendly so a replacement would help.

Thanks!

Check out the PCACOL or CSICOL in software section. I have not used BIAX before but the former two are quite easy to be picked up. Good luck.

Biax is a DOS based program developed by the Civil Engineering Department of UC Berkeley. However, it's just too old school! Thanks a lot, I should try those software!
